FLO: AAA Tour

Brew Breakdown

The Venue

FLO’s Philadelphia stop unfolded at The Fillmore, right in the heart of Fishtown. Getting there was a breeze — we grabbed an Uber and were at the doors in minutes.

We’ve been to this venue plenty of times, and it never disappoints. As always, it delivered that perfect mix: comfortably cool, never overcrowded, and effortlessly relaxed.

The Crowd

The venue was packed — no surprise, given this was FLO’s first large-scale tour with a full album behind them. The room was abuzz with energy, everyone eager to see what they’d bring to the stage.

Every fan we crossed paths with was warm, engaging, and ready to dance shoulder to shoulder, immersed in every moment of the performance.

Packed Audience

Flo’s performance was dynamic - undeniably the result of a group that’s been putting in the work to refine their sound and stage presence following the release of their debut album. Their harmonies were seamless and well-balanced, a clear sign that their connection runs deeper than studio sessions. You could feel their bond, both vocally and in how they moved together on stage. Each member held their own, letting their individual strengths shine while keeping the group’s cohesion intact.

That said, there were moments when one or two voices overpowered the rest, slightly throwing off the blend. Still, the overall performance was a joy to experience.

On the style front - we’d love to see more intention. The girls are gorgeous and bring such distinctive energy, and their costuming didn’t quite reflect that. Their fashion should match the flair and personality they naturally carry. They've clearly grown since their “Cardboard Box” debut, and the sex appeal was there, but at times it felt a little too forced. They’re naturally magnetic; the sensuality doesn’t need to be exaggerated to be felt.

Lastly, while the lighting design was standout and added polish, the stage setup felt a bit underdeveloped. The interactive elements were appreciated, but the curtain-covered doorways lacked impact. A more thoughtful visual approach could have better brought the full experience to life.

The Performance

Crowd Engagement

Flo had the crowd in the palm of their hand. You could feel the anticipation building - everyone waiting for the moment to sing back, to dance, to belt out their favorite lyrics. The energy was so infectious, it was nearly impossible to get a clear view without a sea of excited arms in the air (which, honestly, is the best kind of problem). Above all, Flo knows how to connect with the community they’ve built and that connection was on full display.

How Brand Aligned Were All Aspects?

FLO’s performance was a reminder of why they’ve captured so much attention so quickly. The show began on time and unfolded with a sense of polish, anchored by storytelling that aligned seamlessly with the album’s brand imagery. Visually, there’s room for growth, but the foundation is promising.

Their vocals were the standout: powerful, precise, and seamlessly layered. Few girl groups in recent years have delivered harmonies with this level of clarity. The connection between the three was evident, and their ease with one another on stage gave the performance a warmth that drew the audience in.

As with most of our assessments, we’d like to see the merch station incorporate stronger branding and a cleaner setup - details that can elevate the overall experience and better reflect the group’s momentum.

As they continue to evolve, we look forward to seeing their individual styles shine through, shaping a brand that highlights their unique energies while reinforcing the strength of FLO as a collective.

The Aesthetic Rollout

The imagery felt cohesive, but lacked the dynamism it could have carried. While the art direction leaned design-forward (which has its strengths) the overall look and feel of the advertising and tour assets didn’t fully capture the energy of the album itself.

The Final Pour: How We Landed at 3.89/5 Bean Score

FLO’s Philadelphia stop unfolded with the kind of ease that suggests they’ve been here before. Their voices intertwined with clarity and warmth, each harmony sliding seamlessly into the next, carrying the room in waves rather than peaks. The staging and branding hinted at intention but occasionally felt a step behind the music’s vibrancy, leaving a gap between sound and sight. What carried the night was their presence - unforced, approachable, and quietly magnetic - turning the audience into more than spectators. While the show leaves room for growth in its visual storytelling, FLO has already carved out a live experience that feels inviting, resonant, and worth returning to. Scroll on for the breakdown.

The show’s aesthetic leaned cohesive and design-forward, but at times lacked the dynamism to match the energy of the album. While the foundation felt aligned, stronger visual direction could elevate the performance into something more distinct and memorable.

Branding + Identity

.6/1 Bean

The branding carried a clear sense of cohesion, with design-forward choices that felt intentional. Still, the visuals didn’t always capture the group’s youthful, fun, and modern energy - leaving room for stronger alignment between their identity and the assets that represent them.

FLO’s sound was the standout - powerful, precise, and beautifully blended. Their harmonies carried clarity and depth rare for a new group, and their natural chemistry made the performance feel both polished and inviting. Although some mic levels weren’t balanced in a few harmony moments, the overall delivery still shined, reinforcing their strength as live performers.

FLO’s presence on stage felt genuine, with an ease and camaraderie that carried into the crowd. Fans were engaged and responsive throughout, creating an atmosphere that was celebratory and communal. While some moments could benefit from stronger pacing and polish, the group’s natural energy made the experience feel inviting and memorable.

FLO’s debut tour stop delivered strong vocals, cohesive storytelling, and a sense of genuine connection, laying the groundwork for what’s to come. While certain visual and technical elements left room for refinement, the overall experience was enjoyable - one fans would happily return to as the group continues to grow.
